The "FAB" Fish Market

Since 1976, Clinton, MD has been home to one of P.G. County's hidden treasures. The Fish Market serves great food, provides great entertainment and a family friendly environment. On Monday, August 9, 2010, I had the pleasure of attending a Birthday Happy Hour at The Fish Market, which is also home to a family- owned Liquor store providing a bevy of premium liquors to the restaurant and bar. The bar itself is huge and employs some of the most skilled bartendars this side of the Mason Dixon line. These "Mixologists" (as they are commonly known) will having you coming back over and over. (Just ask the "regulars") 2THUMBS UP! This bar draws a serious singles mingle atmosphere. However the elaborate drink menu is only a fraction of what The Fish Market has to offer.
The food selection is always fresh and consistently of high quality (The Buffulo Shrimp are a personal favorite). There is also a fresh catch of the day selection to be prepared to your taste, while the land lovers have a great selection of chicken and steak. Thumbs up for variety. The long time staff are a favorite of the "regulars", adding that something special to your experience. They keep the drinks flowing, the food hot, and the smiles coming. The owners (Giovanni Family) ensure that the "Fish Market keeps it's family atmosphere." Co-Owner Rick Giovanni added that wow factor to the restaurant and bar in 1995 by forming the beloved "House Band". The band plays Wed and Thurs at 8:30 - Fri and Sat at 9:30pm to a packed restaurant each and every week. The Clinton community is in attendance regularly. So don't be the last one to check it out!The food and drinks are certainly enough to make you a long time customer, but the "House Band" seals the deal. I personally have been going to the Fish Market since 1998, and they consistency keep me coming back. The level of customer service resembles the care and concern at "Grandma's house". The wait staff truly make an effort to make all the customers feel like one big family, from participating with the band to going the extra mile to make that birthday, anniversary, or 1st date special. For that they receive a 5 out of 5. The quality of the food receives a 4 out of 5, for consistently good. Nothing flashy or fancy but good down home cooking is definitely on the menu. The overall "Fish Market" experience received a 4 out of 5. Definitely add it to your list of things to do this year!!!!! I stamp the Fish Market "Quality Control Approved".
